We have a heartfelt plea for help. Our brother FF/Medic, and retired US Army veteran, Mike Struppa, and his family, are confronting an unimaginable challenge. Their 10-year-old son, Guiseppe (lovingly known as Seppe), received a devastating brain stem tumor diagnosis.

Seppe's Courageous Journey:

Seppe's battle started with emergency surgery to remove the tumor. Tragically, the tumor turned out to be an aggressive form of brain cancer, casting a shadow of uncertainty over his young life. Seppe is undergoing treatment at Boston Children's Hospital. His treatment plan involves a grueling month of radiation therapy, with the potential for experimental treatments.

The Family's Weighty Burden:

This harrowing experience has imposed an enormous emotional and financial burden on the Struppa family. Their world has been shaken, and they confront an uncertain path forward. During these trying times, we believe that community support can make all the difference.

A Unified Effort:

The Southbridge Ma Firefighters Union has initiated a t-shirt fundraiser to offer some relief to the Struppa family’s medical bills and other expenses. In our continued commitment to stand by Seppe and his family, The Yard Foundation is helping to raise money for the Struppa’s.
